for the processing of electronic payment transactions, i.e. for card charges in our online store, the user is redirected from the company’s site to a secure page of Piraeus Bank where he/she will fill in his/her card details. The page where the user enters his card details is secure (use of SSL encryption with 2048-bit key size) which ensures the safe transfer of the card details to the “ePOS Paycenter”.
The data to be filled in on the payment page are as follows:
- Card number
- Expiry date
- Verification code (CVV2/CVC2)
- Email to which the user will optionally receive a confirmation of the successful charging of the card
After entering the card details, the cardholder’s strong identification process (3D Secure) follows, which enhances the level of security of the transaction. Once the 3D Secure process is completed, the card billing transaction takes place, the result of which is sent to predefined URLs on the company’s website.
